I’ve been on many a City Sightseeing bus tour around the world, but for some reason always put off going on one in my own city. I finally got that chance, and much more, after entering and winning the “Ready to Welcome the World” competition. I took my mom and sister along for the day, and the weather played along perfectly.

Visit the South African Museum on the Cape Town Red City Tour. Set in the city Gardens and close to the Planetarium, this museum is rich with South African heritage. The South African Museum was founded by Lord Charles Somerset and is the second oldest scientific institute in the country – the Royal Observatory was established just five years earlier.
