I have done the Red City Tour before, in 2009 when I had visitors from overseas, so when the opportunity arose for me to go alone I thought I would do something different. Inspired by the Night Time Bus Tour, we headed up Signal Hill again to view it by day! It really is a breathtaking view! We continued our ride around the Peninsula stopping off to enjoy the view at the top of Chapmans Peak. We stopped of at Monkey Valley Resort for breakfast – what a spectacular view! We continued our journey via Kommetjie, Scarborough, Milllers Point and Simonstown. I saw so many more photographic opportunities – definitely calls for another ride around the Peninsula!
Let me first say that viewing yours and my favourite city, Cape Town from a height of approximately 4.39 m and at night, is far better than being down at normal car height, and worse still, being the driver who has to pay attention to the road and traffic.
The maiden voyage of the Cape Town Night Tour gave a wonderful experience to 100 lucky people this Friday 29 October 2010.
