Having lived in Cape Town and now living on its doorstep for many years, my husband and I realised that we had become complacent and had never taken the kids to see the sites that this amazing City, and indeed the entire Peninsula, have to offer. Join us as we enjoy a fun filled family day out.
The long Easter weekend is almost here, so if you are still looking for things to keep the little people in your life entertained and occupied, here are some ideas and special Easter events. Cape Town has lots of free outdoor entertainment for kids, I find its also well worth the effort to take them to some of the special events in and around Cape Town throughout the year.
One sunny Saturday we eagerly boarded Cape Town’s ever reliable City Sightseeing bus and were whisked away on the popular red route tour. Follow Kim as she boards the bus with her sights on the remarkable Table Mountain.

Sunday morning was a picture perfect day! I rounded up the youngsters and my camera and we headed off to Groot Constantia to enjoy a lovely morning in the beautiful gardens, and a trip around the coast on the Blue Route of the City Sightseeing Bus. I have done the Red City Tour before, in 2009 when I had visitors from overseas, so when the opportunity arose for me to go alone I thought I would do something different. I was able to relax and enjoy the tripping in a way that no driver or passenger would normally get to do.
