A little over a week ago a friend of mine spoke excitedly about the Castle of Good Hope (Stop 10) and the firing of the miniature canon. The last time I had given the castle a visit was quite a few years ago but I’d never seen or heard of any canon fire. With boyish excitement I quickly hustled a small group of friends and family together to go witness the firing of the castle’s relatively diminutive arsenal.
Join me, Nicolas van Zyl through what turned out to be one eventful afternoon at one of South Africa’s most venerable heritage sites.
