Words like wonderful, spectacular, mind-boggling or marvelous seem inadequate! My Blue Tour took me to Groot Constantia Wine Estate, and then to Hout Bay. A quick review – big memories…
We promised ourselves that in 2011 we will spend more time out and about in Cape Town and spend this time more with our family. As a first outing we did the City Sightseeing Night Tour! What and experience…
A beautiful and exhilarating walk through Kalk Bay and through the Boomslang Cave. I took 530 photos on my outing – and the only reason I stopped was my memory card was full and I couldn’t decide which photos to delete! Come and view Cape Town’s Fish Hoek and Simonstown with here…
Cape Town even if its raining – is always fun…. You just have to look for it! Visit the Brass Bell in Kalk Bay with me and Cape to Cuba for cocktails and the train. Then hitch another ride on the train to Fish Hoek and do a drive to Groot Constantia. Only in Cape Town!
2010 had many highlights: The Soccer World Cup, Cape Town Carnival and the much celebrated Earthdance – to name just a view. We decided to celebrate these successes by spending time as a family at Kirstenbosch’s celebrated Carols by Candlelight. Share this truly Capetonian experience with us.
On the 19th of December Catherine Pate and her brood boarded an Atlantic Rail steam train for a fun family trip on the ONLY operational steam train in the Western Cape and it was great!
Marlon and Gladwyn our Cape Town locals, have done the red open-top bus tours several times, and cannot get enough of the fresh air! They share their experiences on the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour from stop 1 – the V&A Waterfront along the Atlantic Coastline to Pizza in Camps Bay.
Inspired by the Night Time Bus Tour, we headed up Signal Hill again to view it by day! It really is a breathtaking view! We continued our ride around the Peninsula stopping off to enjoy the view at the top of Chapmans Peak. We stopped of at Monkey Valley Resort for breakfast – what a spectacular view! We continued our journey via Kommetjie, Scarborough, Milllers Point and Simonstown. I saw so many more photographic opportunities – definitely calls for another ride around the Peninsula!
Let me first say that viewing yours and my favourite city, Cape Town from a height of approximately 4.39 m and at night, is far better than being down at normal car height, and worse still, being the driver who has to pay attention to the road and traffic.
We planned an outing on the City Sightseeing Red Bus with some friends yesterday so that we could go and take some pictures along the Red Bus Route. I took my Mom, daughter and her friend along as well, as we enjoyed it so much when we went in June.
