As the City Sightseeing buses pulled off to show visitors all the sights of Cape Town we took off in the opposite direction to visit the TCD Trust projects in various disadvantaged areas of Cape Town.”
After 8 years of research and 18 months of construction the 2 Ocean Aquarium was opened in 1995 and fast became one of the most popular tourist attractions in Cape Town.
In my efforts to join the feel good green brigade I took part in what must’ve been one of the most powerful acts of solidarity I have ever been involved in, the Ride of Silence.

The Tourism Indaba held last weekend at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre in Durban is the largest event of its kind in Africa and is only dwarfed internationally by two similar events in Berlin and London.
