Video: See the sights of the city in the City Sightseeing Bus

A ticket is like a passport. A license to go somewhere; do something (depending on the ticket of course). And this is no less true when you buy your ticket for the City Sightseeing red open-top bus for a tour of Cape Town.

This is your passport to fun, to amazing experiences, to the making of memories, possibly to the making of friends, to seeing fantastic sites, to exotic smells and tastes – all of this on offer through the City Sightseeing bus.

If you don’t believe us then check out this fun video below.

Grab your ticket (aka passport) at the City Sightseeing ticket office Outside the Two Oceans Aquarium (Bus Stop 1) and enter the magical land known as Cape Town! There is so much to see it is hard to know where to start…

Try the Jewish Museum, or explore the Castle of Good Hope. Feed squirrels in the Company Gardens before visiting the South African Museum and the Planetarium or discover District Six. Why not hop-off in Long Street and do some serious shopping and browsing in the many shops on this street? Or pop in for a meal in one of the many coffee shops or restaurants? Perhaps you fancy a pint in the pub – and there are lots of these too!

Make your way to the Green Market flea market – one of the most vibey spots in the city centre where you can browse through the stalls, buy some curios, meet amazing people and maybe even tune in to a drumming session.

The list goes on and we could too – but seeing is believing so try it, you will not be sorry!

The ‘Cape Town’s Red Bus Movie’ project was created, produced and directed by City Varsity’s 1st year Film and Media Department students, under guidance from their lecturer Riaz Solker.
Thor Rixon directed, edited, and did the sound production. Amrish Shah was the producer for the project and outside actors from the industry made up the cast.

What fun, looks like such a good vibe. I really enjoy these videos, they all show such a compelling view of Cape Town. I feel this is a great tool to spark interest in anyone wanting to visit Cape Town and possibly even take a trip on a City Sightseeing Bus to enjoy one of the many memorable trips offered in and around Cape Town.
