Only in South Africa: A Hout Bay, Kalk Bay and Groot Constantia medley

I have been in Brazil which was beautiful – I won’t lie – but there were places in Cape Town which I really missed!!!!

Kalk Bay

I landed in Cape Town on Wednesday, and was so happy to be invited to my favourite ‘hangout’ Brass Bell in Kalk Bay. We once again caught the train and headed down to Kalk Bay. What is so wonderful about Brass Bell is you get off the train and walk straight into the restaurant! After a lovely lunch (Kingklip – yummy!) we had a stroll down the quay and checked all the fishermen trying their luck. We then went to Cape to Cuba for lovely cocktails and caught the train home — what an amazing outing…

Groot Constantia

Today, we were going to catch the train to Fish Hoek, but the weather wasn’t too good. The best thing to do in Cape Town when its raining – is head to Hout Bay. Nothing better than Fish and Chips at Fish on the Rocks. My Mom and I had a wonderful lunch there, followed by a drive through Groot Constantia. Unfortunately we had eaten, but saw lots of people stopping at Simons for a lovely afternoon.

Cape Town even if its raining – is always fun…. You just have to look for it !
