The old Green Point Stadium (Cape Town Stadium) was build at Green Point Common, Cape Town during the Second Boer War, fought from 11 October 1899 until 31 May 1902. The area was used during that period as a transit camp for prisoners of war to be shipped to remote islands. The Mouille Point Lighthouse can be seen in the background.
